It seems likely that in the not-so-distant future, we'll be in one-shot complex general harness territory.
For now, barbell: use a full provider harness for complex work, and/or build something small and bespoke for your specific task. IMO, pi is a great foundation for this.
Mods and artifacts are early examples of customising things around the task. Mods to change the agent's behaviour, artifacts to give you task-specific interfaces to see and direct the work.
Good question to be asking: if everything is customisable, what is/will become of Claude Code?
